The Mystery of "Eclipse"
Tuesday, November 30th
Sat with: Clique #11
Accompanied by: Steph
Table 11 is a clique I always used to see on my way through the sandwich line. They've always seemed very purposeful, scarcely eating as they dutifully chopped up a copy of Eclipse and wrote on the pages. It always makes me cringe to see a book die like that, but they would be constantly smiling as they worked. I've been looking forward to asking this table what their motive was, but today a different group of the same clique- (if that makes any sense)- met us.
Conversation:
Steph: Hello, Amanda.
Amanda: Hello, Stephanie.
Steph: This is my friend, Lauren.
Me: Hey, Amanda.
Steph: Lauren, Amanda is the biggest Harry Potter fan I've ever met in my entire life.
Me: Oh, really?
And you can imagine, if you know me, how the rest of the lunch period went. I'll say this though: Never compete in HP trivia with a girl that wears a time-turner around her neck every day.
Conclusion: Maybe there aren't very many people in the school that could go to some of the cliques we've been to and make conversation. Maybe it helps when you've read Harry Potter seven times, and yet you dress like a prep and have skills at "Ninja". There's always an upside to being well rounded.
