Conversation: none (nobody spoke to anybody.)
Single event of interest: halfway through the period, some punk ninth graders took over the table and all the sevies ran away. Why?
Weird looks: several, but no one said anything.
Asked to leave: nope.
Conclusion: some people want to be alone. Other people are lonely.
Resolution: be a friend either way.
